👀 Things I'm Keeping an Eye On
Wednesday's opener (Seahawks 13, Patriots 10): Sam Darnold was ruled out pretty early with a hip injury, with no timetable set and Drew Lock now expected to start Week 2. On the Patriots' side, A.J. Brown's MRI confirmed a high ankle sprain; he's expected to miss at least four weeks.
Thursday night (49ers 27, Rams 7): San Francisco cruised behind an efficient offensive night. Rookie WR De'Zhaun Stribling was playing the majority of San Francisco's offensive snaps before exiting with an ankle injury - worth watching his next update.
Worth tracking into the rest of the week:
Patrick Mahomes practiced in full Thursday and has a "very good chance" to start Monday against Denver in his return from last year's knee surgery, per head coach Andy Reid.
Brock Bowers underwent meniscus trim surgery and will miss the opener at minimum, with a 1-2 game absence expected.
Jeremiyah Love, Arizona's rookie back, was limited in practice Thursday with an ankle issue but is hopeful to play against the Chargers - worth confirming his status before locking in that backfield either way.
Malik Nabers says the decision to play Sunday night against Dallas is genuinely his to make - confirm his final status before trusting him in your lineup.
